There are plenty of smartwatch deals on Prime Day and this is a good one. Following Samsung’s recent launch of the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch 7 Ultra, Amazon has reduced the price of the Galaxy Watch 6 Bespoke Edition 44mm by 42%which represents a $160 discount off the regular purchase price. This particular deal is also on the Watch 6 in Milanese Black, which sports the company’s comfortable Graphite strap.
The Watch 6 features the easy-to-use Wear OS operating system, along with better health sensors and features than previous-generation Samsung watches.
✅Recommended if: You don’t mind opting for an older-generation smartwatch in exchange for a good deal; you want something with a satisfying capacitive bezel; you need health features like custom heart rate zones and passive atrial fibrillation detection.
❌Skip this offer if: You want something super light; you need the industry’s best battery life in a smartwatch.
Samsung launched its next generation Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra last week, but most casual smartwatch users will be content with the performance of previous generations. The 44mm Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Bespoke Edition, in particular, is a solid choice at any price point, and even more so at this price point.
On the downside, some of the GPS and health tracking sensors can be a little inaccurate — most notably the BIA readings — though it hasn’t been FDA-cleared to reliably measure blood pressure anyway. It’s also not the lightest smartwatch available, and the Watch 6’s battery life has stagnated compared to previous generations.
Otherwise, the Watch 6 has a gorgeous display, Bluetooth, and a fun-to-use capacitive bezel, plus super-fast charging and decent battery life. And if that’s not enough, maybe a $160 discount will be.
