Wolf Man trailer teases Blumhouse's Leigh Whannell-directed reboot


The first official Werewolf The teaser trailer is here and it shows a glimpse of Blumhouse and director's reboot of the iconic horror villain. Leigh Whannell.

What happens in the Wolfman trailer?

The Wolf Man trailer doesn't reveal much, but it does show off the stars Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner Going through their own stressful changes. For Abbott, this means becoming the Wolfman, while for Garner it means trying to keep his family safe from him.

The Wolfman reboot is currently scheduled to premiere on January 17, 2025.

Leigh Whannell previously directed Blumhouse's The Invisible Man remake. He co-wrote the Wolf Man script with Corbett Tuck, Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo. The modern remake will reportedly focus on a family being terrorized by a deadly predator.

The film will star Julia Garner, Christopher Abbott and Sam Jaeger, among others. Before Abbott was cast in the lead role, Oscar nominee Ryan Gosling was originally slated for the title role. Despite his departure, Gosling will remain an executive producer alongside Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner and Whannell. Jason Blum is producing.

Whannell is known for writing several of James Wan's horror films, including 2004's Saw, 2007's Dead Silence, and 2010's Insidious. He made his directorial debut in 2015 with Insidious: Chapter 3 before directing 2018's Upgrade and, most recently, 2020's The Invisible Man with Elisabeth Moss. He also received a story credit for 2023's Insidious: The Red Door, which was directed by Patrick Wilson.
