The hard truth behind Jenna Ortega’s speech about Hollywood

Rising star Jenna Ortega has a problem with Hollywood.

The actress, best known for Netflix’s “Wednesday,” gave a candid interview to Vanity Fair in which she lamented cancel culture and Hollywood’s thought police.

Except he didn’t use those words and, more importantly, he ignored the crucial context behind his views.

It began with a recitation of his pro-Palestinian sentiments. That did not lead to Ortega’s cancellation, unlike his former “Scream” co-star Melissa Barrera. The latter’s comments went beyond “I wish for peace in the Middle East” or “The Palestinian people deserve safety and protection.”

Far beyond. And she She lost her “Scream” concert as a result.

Ortega was saved, in part, because his rhetoric was less extreme. And She refuses to be smotheredSpeaking to Vanity Fair, Ortega expressed concern that her fellow actors can no longer speak their minds without repercussions.

“The industry we work in is very sensitive,” she says. “Everyone wants to be politically correct, but I feel like in doing that we lose a lot of our humanity and integrity because we lack honesty… I wish we had a better sense of conversation. Imagine if we could all say what we feel and not be judged for it, and if anything, generate some kind of debate, not an argument… am I describing world peace?”

I’m sure you’re not describing Hollywood.

Ortega is 21 years old and is fairly new to the world of entertainment. He needs a refresher course.

First, let’s start with cancel culture and the new progressive order. It comes overwhelmingly from the left, the political ideology of Hollywood, Inc. This explains why so many stars are afraid to share their opinions, even harmless thoughts that are shared by most Americans.

Consider how Mario Lopez crawled asking for forgiveness After saying this:

“…if you’re three years old and you say that you feel a certain way or that you think you’re a boy or a girl or whatever, I think it’s dangerous as a parent to make that decision at that point,” she said. “It’s kind of alarming and, gosh, I just think about the repercussions down the road.”

It gets much worse.

Does the star of the upcoming “Beetlejuice” sequel know anything about the… New Hollywood BlacklistConservatives are afraid to share opinions on the economy, immigration and other issues for fear of the consequences to their careers. Do you support Donald Trump? You better check your unemployment insurance twice.

Some conservative stars may be outspoken themselves, like Jon Voight and Tim Allen. Others, like Nick Searcy, explore opportunities outside the Hollywood ecosystem after sharing their right-wing views.

The rest remain silent, afraid of seeing their careers disappear for holding “wrong” opinions.

Ortega probably knows nothing about this unfortunate situation. He is young and probably does not read Breitbart News, The Federalist or other outlets that analyze the new Blacklist.

Here is the million dollar question.

Will he speak out after hearing how James Woods, Kevin Sorbo and others are punished in La La Land? If not, his attacks on political correctness are as fake as a CGI effect.
