Demon Slayer Infinite Castle is one of the most fascinating arcs in the manga series. It has also gained the same reputation for its anime adaptation. Recently, Ufotable Announced that the arc would be adapted into a film trilogy. The news was welcomed by fans who couldn’t wait to see Tanjiro and the other Demon Slayers take on Muzan and his demons. With that being said, here are the best fights in the Infinite Castle.
Zenitsu Agatsuma vs. Kaigaku
Since the beginning of the series, Zenitsu has been one of the most popular characters. His journey and development have always put smiles on the faces of Demon Slayer fans. After entering the Infinite Castle, he encounters Kaigaku, his former superior, who is now the Upper Rank Six Demon. The thrilling battle witnesses the two characters with a shared past put it all on the line. Both clash with their Thunder Breath.
However, Kaigaku is stunned by how strong Zenitsu’s swordsmanship and speed has become since their last encounter. Zenitsu reflects on Kaigaku’s teasing and their past together and unleashes his Thunder Breath, Seventh Form: Honoikazuchi no Kami. The battle is one of the best fights in Infinity Castle, as it shows Zenitsu reaching near Hashira-level potential.
Tanjiro and Giyu vs Akaza

The fight between Tanjiro and Akaza is one of the most anticipated in the series, as Tanjiro hopes to get revenge for Rengoku’s death. However, this time, he is backed by Giyu Tomioka, the Water Hashira. Tanjiro was able to push the demon back, impressing Tomioka.
The teamwork between the two Demon Slayers was impeccable as they countered every move of the top rank 3 Demon. The battle was a major talking point in the series as Giyu and Tanjiro significantly increased their power. Giyu awakens his Demon Slayer Mark while Tanjiro gains the “Transparent World” ability, allowing him to attack without intent to kill.
Kanao and Inosuke vs Doma

Following Shinobu’s death at the hands of Doma, Kanao becomes enraged and attacks the demon. However, the demon knocks her away to finish absorbing Shinobu’s body, leaving only her hairpin. While Kanao seems to have the upper hand at first, Doma is soon able to overpower her, forcing Kanao to constantly defend against her attacks. She manages to snatch her sword away and attack it with her lotuses. However, Inosuke arrives in time to crush the demon’s attack with his Beast Breath.
Inosuke realizes that it is the Upper Rank 2 Demon and is happy to fight it, believing that it would be a Hashira after defeating it. The fight swings back and forth, with Doma demonstrating her prowess against the two Demon Slayers. However, Doma suddenly feels unwell as Shinobu had completely poisoned her body before the Demon consumed her. They are finally able to defeat the Demon, thanks to Shinobu’s poison.
Muichiro Tokito, Genya Shinazugawa, Sanemi Shinazugawa and Gyomei Himejima against Kokushibo

The match against Kokushibo was undoubtedly one of the best and most harrowing fights of the arc. Kokushibo proved why he was ranked as one of the top demons, as it took several people to take him on. In fact, Muichiro and Genya succumbed to the wounds inflicted on them by the former demon hunter.
Sanemi and Gyomei Gyomei’s intervention allows the two Hashira to unlock their Demon Slayer marks. The two coordinate perfectly with their combined attacks against the Demon. However, it was Muichiro’s sacrifice that gave them the advantage needed to defeat the High-Rank Demon.
Mitsuri Kanroji and Obanai Iguro against Nakime

The iconic Hashira duo teamed up to take on the new top-ranking Nakime in another thrilling battle. Mitsuri faces off against the demon and uses her technique to directly attack its neck. However, Nakime quickly counterattacks with her Blood Demon Art. Obanai asks Mitsuri to be careful as they do not yet understand Nakime’s abilities.
Lady Biwa conjures columns to crush them, but Obanai evades them while Mitsuri is caught. While Nakime successfully tricks Mitsuri with another door, Obanai takes the opportunity to attack her neck, but she evades him. Eventually, Yushiro joins the Hashiras and takes control of Nakime’s vision to change the castle walls. He uses his talisman and drills a hole into Nakime’s head. Taking control of Nakime’s cells, he successfully transports Muzan Kibutsuji and the Demon Slayers back to the real world.
