Nothing OS 2.6 arrives for the Phone (2) and Phone (2a)


If you have a Nothing Phone 2 or 2a, then you might want to check if your phone is eligible for the latest software update. Nothing recently announced that The new Nothing OS 2.6 update has finally arrived for both models, and includes some very welcome features, improvements and bug fixes.

The update allows users to more closely monitor the battery level of their CMF watch directly from the Bluetooth Quick Settings tile and access a new Date widget and Community Headlines widget. On the Phone 2, users will be able to tidy up their Wallpaper Studio with the new option to delete wallpaper history, and Nothing headphones also get more optimized performance when Low Lag mode is enabled.

New improvements have also arrived for Game Mode: users can now access the Game Panel with a simple tap on the left sidebar during gameplay, and incoming calls will no longer interrupt gaming sessions with the new pop-up notification.

Nothing OS 2.6 also fixes several bugs, including issues with voice recording and calls on WhatsApp. The Phone 2 also receives a fix for emergency calls, ensuring they work properly in all situations. The cloned apps feature has also finally been fixed.

Meanwhile, Phone 2a users will no longer experience the Atmosphere wallpaper disappearing effect, and the lock screen will no longer overlap in certain situations. Additionally, previews of photos taken in landscape mode while the device is locked will now display correctly. Portrait mode has been improved to prevent incorrect blurring, and general improvements have been made to camera stability.

Users can access Settings > System > System Update to download and install Nothing OS 2.6 update.
