Does Jack Kesy really look good as Hellboy? A new photoshoot gives fans fresh images of the star in full makeup for Hellboy: The Crooked Man.

When the first trailer came out Hellboy: The Crooked Man Online, fans were quick to mock the film in almost every aspect. Perhaps no one received more ridicule than Jack Kesy himself, who was ridiculed for being inferior to previous actors of the paranormal detective, such as David Harbour and Ron Perlman. Some even compared his appearance to cosplay!

However, the last few weeks have seen the Internet lean a little more in favor of… Hellboy: The Crooked ManFans are more open to Jack Kesy playing the beloved Cambion. This was solidified with a new set of images released by TotalFilm to help promote the film, giving fans the best look yet at his costume and makeup in the upcoming movie.

Jack Kesy talks about the pressure of playing Hellboy

Despite being a relatively small indie comic, Hellboy as a character has a special place in the cultural zeitgeist due to the original duology starring Ron Perlman. One would imagine that Jack Kesy would be feeling the pressure, especially after the last failed reboot. However, Kesy admits that he’s not at all worried about how people view him before Hellboy: The Crooked Man.

“You know what, I love a good challenge, I’ve always been that way, so I was excited to take it on,” Kesy explained to GamesRadar“Everyone, fans, detractors, whoever, is cheering them on. You know it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. You always get the chance to play people similar to yourself, but when do you get the chance to be in full prosthetics and play iconic characters? The excitement outweighed everything else.”

“Just excitement and a little bit of creative pressure, like, ‘How am I going to do this?’ I’ve never worked with prosthetics. But we collaborate with the director [Brian Taylor] And it was one day at a time, one scene at a time.”

Many times, unknown actors are bullied and kicked out of fan spaces before they have a chance to be accepted. It’s good to know that Jack Kesy isn’t letting the hate affect him before his time. Hellboy: The Crooked Man He even makes his debut. The film will be a different, more comedic take on the character, but it remains to be seen whether the reduced budget will work out well.
