Tim Meadows pre-empted his weekend appearances in the Mile High City with a simple promise.
“This is me talking about me. A lot of people know me from doing movies, TV shows and characters,” the “Saturday Night Live” alum told the “Ryan Schuiling,” was heard on Denver’s 630 KHOW earlier this week.
“It’s an introduction to who I am, basically,” said Meadows, recently seen in “Bad Girls“A new musical version. “I talk to the audience. They know me. I know them. We all come out better people because of it and nobody gets hurt.”

Meadows worked the crowd hard during Saturday’s final show at Comedy Works in Greenwood Village, Colo. The affable comedian got riled up by a Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. fan during a political moment at the end of the show.
Until then, Meadows proved ever witty and wise, sharing warm anecdotes about divorce, fatherhood and his love of marijuana.
The praise for RFK Jr. proved too much.
Meadows raged against the politician who challenged the two-party system in the fall, saying he claimed the COVID-19 virus was a hoax. The Kennedy heir has been arguably the most prominent critic of vaccines, but has not doubted the existence of the virus.
Meadows recounted how he worked with RFK Jr.’s wife, Cheryl Hines, on the show “Son of Zorn” and how he crossed paths with the couple frequently. He said RFK Jr. seemed like a nice guy, but once he heard his political views, he changed his mind.
She said she wouldn’t even pose for a photograph with him.
“Fuck RFK Jr.,” Meadows said.
The comedian, who was nervous, eventually calmed down and apologized for the unfortunate change of subject. He felt guilty for succumbing to the divisive nature of the culture. That was not his plan.
He bragged about how he spends time with people from all walks of life and sexual preferences, and that we should focus on what unites us.
This list did not include either Christians or conservatives.
The audience never left his side, even when the performance got out of hand. They laughed throughout the performance and were more than willing to “forgive” the comedy star for his detour into stand-up. He admitted that the transition took him away from his planned closing, which included Donald Trump.
He had previously criticized the former president and joked about President Joe Biden’s fragile physical condition.
