In the new film, Phoenix teams up with Lady Gaga as a new Harley Quinn and together they look as if they really are about to upset the balance of power in the DC universe forever.
As jesterThe sequel seems to blur the line between what’s actually happening and what’s going on inside Arthur Fleck’s (Phoenix) mind and perhaps Harley’s (Gaga) mind as well. And that’s where the sumptuous musical numbers come in.

The new film stars Joaquin Phoenix once again in his Oscar-winning dual role as Arthur Fleck/Joker, alongside Academy Award winner Lady Gaga (“A Star Is Born”). “Joker: Folie À Deux” finds Arthur Fleck committed to Arkham awaiting trial for his crimes as the Joker. As he struggles with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love, but also finds the music that has always been within him.
