Johnny Depp's teeth: What's going on there?
When he appeared at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023Depp's teeth became a topic of fascination on social media.
“Johnny Depp’s teeth are literally ROTTEN,” wrote one X (formerly Twitter) user, according to Page six.
“Johnny Depp looks like someone took his teeth and painted them black,” another tweeted.
“Why do I have to see close-up photos of Johnny Depp's teeth against my will?” asked a third.
“Seeing that photo of Johnny Depp’s teeth in my [timeline] “She ruined my mood. I've had enough of Twitter,” added a fourth user.
Depp does not appear in public almost as often as before, so the matter of her teeth was largely forgotten after Cannes.
This week, however, the topic resurfaced thanks to an unexpected post on Instagram.
Has Depp's dental drama been resolved?
As you can see, Depp was recently out in his natural habitat (a bar in the Bahamas). And an Instagram video posted by a local bartender showed the star sporting some new and improved teeth.

” Is [me] or does it [sic] “Do your teeth look straighter?” asked another.
“She must have had her teeth done! She looks great,” commented a third.
What caused the damage to Depp's teeth?
It looks like Depp got his teeth fixed, but what went wrong in the first place?
“There’s wear and tear that’s been a cumulative effect over a lifetime,” celebrity dentist Dr. Apa recently told Page Six.
“We sometimes see this type of clothing in really aggressive cases in people in their 30s and sometimes we see it in cases like Depp's.”
The dentist went on to speculate that the stains on Depp's teeth were likely a result of the actor's well-known fondness for cigarettes, coffee and red wine.
Depp had problems with his teeth for quite some time and spoke candidly about the issue in a 1995 interview with Premiere magazine.
“I have a lot of cavities. I had a root canal eight years ago that is still unfinished. It’s like a little piece of rotten wood,” Depp said at the time.
“It’s like when Indians made something out of beads, they always added imperfections,” he added. “I’m proud of this.”
Fortunately, it seems Johnny has already solved the problem, possibly with a pair of Depp false teeth.
