John Wick is getting a new series! It has been officially announced that Keanu Reeves is developing a direct sequel to his latest blockbuster.
John Wick: Chapter 4 served as a fitting end to the iconic franchise. However, it seems it was simply a new beginning. A report from Deadline revealed that Keanu Reeves is officially developing a sequel series titled John Wick: Under the High Table alongside franchise director Chad Stahelski.
While Keanu Reeves is not currently attached to star in the series, he is set to executive produce the sequel. John Wick: Under the High Table is set to pick up exactly where the last film left off, with characters new and old struggling to find their place in the world left behind by Reeves’ hero.
The future of the John Wick franchise
John Wick: Under the High Table is far from the only project in development for the burgeoning universe. While Keanu Reeves is developing the only direct sequel, it’s not the first series to emerge from the universe, and that honor goes to The continental.
Two new films are also planned for release. John Wick universe. The first is Dancerstarring Ana De Armas and Norman Reedus, to be released in June 2025. Donnie Yen will also have his own spin-off film following his role as Caine in the sequel, which is currently being written by Robert Hoskins of The Umbrella Academy.
