The arrival of Google’s “Circle to Search” feature on its Pixel devices has certainly provided a new, faster way for users to streamline their Google Image search sessions, allowing them to basically search for and even translate anything on their home screen. That said, the feature has since been made available to other Android devices, such as those from Samsung, though it was initially available for the Galaxy S23 and S24 series phones, for example.
Fortunately, Samsung recently announced that it has been working with Google to Bringing Circle to Search to more Samsung phones – more specifically, several Galaxy A series models and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE are slated to receive the update. TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung, comments:
These updates open up new possibilities for the Galaxy A series and Galaxy Tab S9 FE series and reinforce our commitment to bringing cutting-edge technology to more Galaxy users. We’re dedicated to bringing the best AI technology to a wider audience, giving users the option to work more efficiently, create with more freedom, and enjoy richer, more personalized interactions with their devices.
The feature will be coming on August 22 and will be available on a number of devices including the Galaxy A34 5G, A35 5G, and A54 5G, as well as the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+. Once the feature is available on your phone, using it is pretty simple:
- Press and hold the home button icon (or navigation bar)
- Use your finger to draw a circle or tap the object of interest.
- Once you have made your selection, your phone will process your search query.
