It’s a new day, so it’s time for more Pixel news to leak. Google may have been trying to avoid exhaustive leaks of its upcoming devices by holding its annual launch event Two months earlier in Augustbut that clearly hasn’t worked at all.

He Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XLOfficial Pixel 9 Pro cases have leaked. The first device will have silicone cases in Charcoal, Porcelain, Hazel, Rose, and Aloe. The latter is odd because the Pixel 9 Pro is not expected to be offered in Aloe.

Moving on to the XL model, its cases will come in the same colors as the Pixel 9 Pro, minus the Aloe variant.

A promotional video for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL has now been posted on YouTube, where it has unfortunately been removed “for violating YouTube’s Terms of Service.” The video focuses on the fact that the Pixel Pro will now, for the first time, be offered in two sizes. It also confirms Google’s continued commitment to software updates: the company promises seven years of Pixel Feature Drops.
There’s also a quick look at Pixel Screenshots, which will let you easily search through any screenshots you’ve previously saved. Of course, Google also boasts of “pro-grade” cameras on the two Pro models, complete with Super Res Zoom Video and a new AI Add Me feature that lets you take two group photos and then merge them together using the magic of AI.
This ensures that everyone appears in the resulting image and that the person who took the photo is not left out. Google’s Gemini also takes up a lot of screen space, as you might expect in 2024, when AI is the buzzword in the tech world.
We finally have another leaked video, this time one that focuses on the ‘vanilla’ Pixel 9At the time of publishing this post, YouTube has not yet removed it, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it eventually meets the same fate as the other one.

This replaces Add Me with Magic Editor, which uses AI to “reimagine” your photos and also boasts that the phone has a “durable design,” whatever that means. Otherwise, it’s pretty similar, as it should be, since it’s part of the same ad campaign.
