Google Lens gets a Photos-like grid view for your visual search history

  • Google has begun rolling out a change to its visual search history interface for Lens on the “My Activity” page.
  • While the list of past visual searches remains, a dedicated “Lens History” page displays all searches in a grid, with the option to “re-analyze” the photo.
  • Google launched its visual search history feature for Lens in March and the subscription feature allowed users to go back in time on their searches and download the photo.

Google has pushed a redesign of the user interface for its view history page regarding a user’s searches through Lens.

As he saw it 9a5GoogleThe latest UI changes apply to Google Lens’ visual search history on a user’s My Activity account page. The feature has introduced a dedicated “Lens History” UI page, which displays all previously searched images with the camera in a grid of images. Users can find this grid by tapping the clock-shaped icon at the top right of the Lens camera UI.

Google groups Lens searches by month, with a user interface similar to the one that appears in Photos for your photo history. Below each Lens thumbnail, you can see details about the date and time the photo search was performed.

9to5Google also discovered that if you tap on an old Lens photo search, Google will “re-analyze” the data and display its results once again.

The download button for photos taken through Lens remains, though you’ll have to tap the three-dot button below the photo.

The Google Lens view history UI update has started rolling out to both Android and iOS.

The original version of Google Lens visual search history It came to accounts in March; before that, Lens searches weren’t saved to your device. Visual search history in Lens is an optional feature, which you can access by signing in to your Google Account and navigating to Data & privacy > Web & app activity > Include visual search history.

Google Lens will only save visual searches done through the main Google app. Everything captured and searched through Google Photos and Circle to search will not show in your history.
