Jamie, a free-spirited and uninhibited girl who is mourning yet another breakup with her girlfriend, and her demure friend Marian are in desperate need of relaxation. In search of a fresh start, the two embark on an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee, but things quickly go awry when they cross paths with a group of inept criminals along the way.

- CinemaSerf: “Jamie” (Margaret Qualley) embarks on a road trip with her rather upset friend “Marian” (Geraldine Viswanathan) to Tallahassee. A flat tire on the road sends them searching for the spare tire in the trunk and let’s just say what they find isn’t quite the same, though perhaps just as rubbery. Meanwhile, Colman Domingo and his two henchmen race to track them down in search of said item. Some vaguely comical escapades ensue as the two women begin to realize that their relationship might be more than just friends and that there may well be an opportunity to make some money off their newfound treasure. Joey Slotnick and CJ Wilson do their best as the thugs, but otherwise this is a thinly crafted comedy that relies too much on the supposed surprises or comedy of its lesbian theme and doesn’t come close to enough to a degree of originality in the script. It oscillates between boring and vulgar, and neither Domingo nor Matt Damon make enough of a contribution to make much of a difference to the well-trodden path the story takes. If you’re a bit picky about what makes you laugh, then this isn’t for you, sorry.

- It’s a fairly straightforward film, which moves along at a decent pace and tells its story fairly well. Margaret Qualley and Geraldine Viswanathan give good performances, with Qualley going a bit overboard at times, but as the film progresses I found myself enjoying it more and more. The editing is something I feel somewhat similarly about, some parts of it aren’t the best in my opinion.
- Overall, it works. The relatively short runtime is a big help, no doubt.
