Before the premiere of Daredevil: Born AgainMarvel Studios confirms Matt Murdock’s Hell’s Kitchen Devil has at least five different superhero costumes in the MCUCharlie Cox made his return to the MCU in Spider-Man: No Way Homeand has made several guest appearances in subsequent projects prior to his new solo series, Daredevil: Born Again. Daredevil appearances in She-Hulk: Lawyer and Echo They’ve already shown off new and improved superhero suits, but Marvel Studios has confirmed even more.

Two of these suits have already been seen, but the others hint at some huge changes for Matt Murdock’s Daredevil in Phase 5 of the MCU and beyond.
Daredevil’s white helmet suggests a purified version of the Man Without Fear
The first of Matt Murdock’s helmets seen in the footage from Daredevil: Born Again It’s a completely new live-action Daredevil movie. This off-white cowl is reminiscent of Daredevil’s purified costume from 2023. This helmet also bears some similarity to his blue hood from 1993. Daredevil #321in which Daredevil donned an armored suit that helped him take on characters like Venom.although it remains to be seen which version Marvel Studios will present.

Daredevil’s dark red helmet was used in Netflix’s Defenders series
The second helmet on display in Daredevil’s display appears to be his dark red cowl that he frequently sported throughout his career in The Defenders Saga on NetflixCharlie Cox first appeared as Matt Murdock in 2015. Reckless season 1 on Netflix, but he didn’t officially suit up until the end of the season. He was dressed in his burgundy suit for From Daredevil the next two seasons and The defenders. Daredevil: Born Again It will act as a continuation of the Defenders saga, which was confirmed to be canon for the MCU in 2024.so it makes sense that Murdock would retain this version of the costume.
It was this version of his superhero costume that Daredevil, played by Matt Murdock, used for his cameo in Echo Episode 1, “Chafa”. A flashback to 2018 saw Daredevil vs. Maya Lopez battle by Alaqua Cox and Kingpin’s soldiers in a warehouse. This scene takes place during the MCU’s five-year-long Blip, confirming that Matt Murdock survived Thanos’ attack on Avengers: Infinity Warand was operating as Daredevil during this dark and unexplored period in the MCU’s history. Daredevil’s yellow helmet has already been seen in the MCU
While Daredevil sported his classic dark red look in Echohis previous appearance in 2022 She-Hulk: Lawyer I saw him put on a completely new superhero suit. Daredevil’s red and yellow suit It was more reminiscent of his original costume from his Marvel Comics debut in 1964. Daredevil #1 by Stan Lee and Bill Everett. The last helmet seen in the Daredevil exhibit appears to be from the bright red suit that has been seen in set photos of Daredevil: Born Again (through Daredevil Updates). This is a more vibrant and vivid suit for Daredevil than what’s previously been seen in live-action, perhaps reflecting the more light-hearted tones of the MCU itself. Netflix’s Defenders saga was much darker, grittier, and more realistic than many previous MCU projects, which meant Daredevil’s dark red suit made more sense.However, this change for the MCU will be welcomed.
Daredevil’s brightest suit in Born again brings it closer to the classic design of its Marvel Comics counterpartwho has often been seen wearing a bright red suit.
