Kenan Thompson isn’t as big a “name” as Queen Bey, but his factually shaky skit for the Democratic National Convention should have gotten more attention.

He’s the longest-tenured cast member on the show, and it’s not even close. He’s been a part of the cast since 2003. No other current actor has his gravitas. He may be only 46, but he’s the elder statesman of “SNL.”
So what was he doing pushing Democratic views in front of the country? Shouldn’t the “SNL” crew prevent its cast members from making overtly partisan appearances?
Apparently not. And it is the new normal.

Earlier this year we saw both Jimmy Kimmel and Esteban Colbert The organizers of DNC fundraisers for then-presidential candidate Joe Biden not only helped fill Democratic coffers, they also kept the country’s biggest secret to themselves.
President Biden’s cognitive status is poor, forcing him to hand over the baton to Vice President Kamala Harris.
Kimmel even lied to his followers about the matter, pretending that Biden’s shocking freeze was just another “cheap fake” moment.
The larger problem is clear. Colbert, Kimmel and Thompson all push Democratic talking points from their respective platforms. They relentlessly attack GOP goals and virtually ignore vulnerable Democrats.
That means you won’t hear any direct criticism of Vice President Kamala Harris between now and Election Day. And likely for a lot longer if Harris becomes the country’s first female president.
Regarding Thompson’s sketch criticizing Project 2025, corporate media fact checkers made considerable holes in it. Moreover, President Trump has repeatedly said that he has no direct connection to Project 2025.
Other than that, it’s 100 percent accurate.
