Wonderful and Sony have had a joint success with the most recent ‘Spiderman‘ trilogy of live-action films and this latest one is doing very well through’Spider-Verse‘ animated exits.
However, Amazon’s attempts to jump on the spider bandwagon have so far been less successful.Silk: Spider SocietyThe series that was in the works was scrapped in May.
Still, he has the Spider-Man Noir series now called ‘Spider-Noir‘, with Nicolas Cage in the lead, which is moving forward. The show is now adding ‘New girl‘ and ‘Fargo‘ actor Lamorne Morris and ‘The Banshees of Inisherin‘s Brendan Gleeson.
Morris, as reported by Varietywill play Robbie Robertson, while Gleeson’s role is being kept under wraps, though Apparently he is a villain.

What is the story of ‘Spider-Noir’?

While the character (voiced by Cage) appeared in ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ (and briefly at the end of (‘Across the Spider-Verse‘, noting that there will be more in the next film, ‘Beyond the Spider-Verse‘), ‘Spider-Noir’ will be its own live-action version of the grizzled hero.
The show’s official synopsis gives a bit more detail: It will follow the story of an aging, down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York, who is forced to come to terms with his past life as the city’s only superhero.

Who is Robbie Robertson in ‘Spider-Noir’?

Morris’ character is described as: “He’s driven, hard-working and won’t take no for an answer. A dedicated journalist who tries to make it despite the odds against him as a black professional in 1930s New York. He takes on riskier stories that no one else would touch in order to get attention and earn a paycheck. He’s willing to do whatever it takes for his career.”
Who’s working on ‘Spider-Noir’?

Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, who will also serve as co-showrunners and executive producers, developed the series with the ‘Spider-Verse’ team. Mr. Phil, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascalall of whom will also serve as executive producers.
‘Enola HolmesDirector Harry Bradbeer will serve as executive producer and direct the first two episodes.

When will ‘Spider-Noir’ hit screens?
There is still no official date for ‘Spider-Noir’, although we know that it will premiere on the linear channel MGM+ and then on Main video.
