Blackmagic Expands App Support for More Devices


Blackmagic’s experience in video editing software knows no bounds, and the developer has recently announced Through its social media channels, the official Blackmagic Video App for Android now comes with support for more devices, including smartphones from different manufacturers.

As such, the new app update expands support for the Google Pixel 6, 6a, and Pixel 6 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S22 and S21, OnePlus 11 and 12, as well as Xiaomi 13 and 14. Additionally, the app now supports HDMI monitoring, focus transition controls, and Blackmagic Cloud organizations, according to Blackmagic’s official post.

For those who don’t know, the The Blackmagic Camera app gives users access to digital cinema camera controls and image processing often unavailable on smartphones. It also gives users the ability to adjust parameters such as frame rate, shutter angle, white balance and ISO, and record footage in file formats up to 8K resolution. Footage can also be uploaded directly to the Blackmagic Cloud for DaVinci Resolve workflows.
