Today’s Connection Tips and Answers for June 7, 2024 (Puzzle #361)


Today is officially Friday and it’s time to finish the work week well by getting that Perfect! streak in Connections. Luckily, with a few tips, it’s not difficult to get the perfect score today. There are some strange words that could go into another category, but this one has a little less crossover than other recent puzzles and that should make it quicker to spot the differences.

Dreaming is always something to aspire to, and nowadays all of these words are quite similar without many additional meanings that made it easy for us to put them together. IMAGINE and ENVISION were the first two words that caught our attention, but soon CONCEIVE and PICTURE joined the team.

This was the last category we assumed today, mainly due to the inclusion of FILM. PICTURE from the last category and MOVIE from a future one seemed to be related to a movie, but when a fourth word didn’t appear, it was pretty clear that the other two belonged somewhere else.


However, once we realized that all of these words had to do with the top layer of something, it was easier to guess. And at least this category was the green, ogre-like one to remind us that they have capes too.

The second category that we deciphered was BRUSH and SWEEP, which gave it away. While we didn’t necessarily know the specific part of “Crumbs,” it was nice to have these very similar verbs to help us figure it out. WIPE and FLICK also seemed to go together, and sure enough, when we introduced the assumption, it was a clean sweep.

This was the third category we got, mainly because all of these words had to do with backend computer jargon. While we may not have known the exact category, Connections The publisher was searching, knowing that they all existed in one digital space, and none of the others, still gave us the win.
