Magic Johnson says sports he loves what he sees Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese so far in the WNBA…praising the rookies for how they are making the transition to the pros.
We spoke briefly with the NBA legend in Los Angeles this week while he was being chased by autograph seekers… and he made it clear that he’s a big fan of the W’s new stars.
He said emphatically that they are “doing great things,” helping their league explode in popularity.
In terms of how they have handled some of the unwanted attention have been getting…if you missed it, Clark was revised body by Chennedy Carter in a game earlier this month, while Reese was thrown to the ground by Alyssa Tomas in another, he appreciated the way they fought through all of this.
When it came time to give some advice… Magic, who played his entire 13-year NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers, said it’s pretty simple… keep doing what you’re doing and everything will get better. resolve itself.
“They’re doing great things for the league,” the five-time NBA champion said with a thumbs up. “Caitlin has been great. Angel has been great.”
