taylor willy – known for his roles in Hawaii five-0 and Forgetting Sarah Marshall – has deceased. She was 56 years old. Hawaii five-0 Executive producer Peter M. Lenkov confirmed the news in several instagram posts on Thursday, June 20.
“As I told you many times, I fell in love with you at the first audition,” Peter wrote in one of them. caption, along with a video montage of memories with Taylor. “You came in with a towel on your head drying your sweat and I fell in love. You captivated me into becoming a regular… on the show… and in my life. You were family. And I will miss you every day, brother.”
Peter then revealed in his caption that he had just spoken to Taylor a week before her death.
“PS: When we talked last week, we laughed at how right you were from day 1. Five-0 “It was the job of our dreams,” added the producer. “And I was very lucky to be able to share that magic together.”
Peter followed up in a separate Instagram post sharing a photo of the two of them. The image was apparently taken on the set of the drama series.
“I’m devastated. Heartbroken,” Peter wrote, before adding, “I’ll post some detailed feelings later. It’s too hard right now.”
Taylor appeared in 171 episodes of Hawaii Five-0 as the character Kamekona Tupuola. She reprized the role in MacGyver and Magnum P.I.. At the beginning of his acting career, Taylor appeared in Forgetting Sarah Marshall as a hotel worker.
Before embarking on his film career, the Hawaii native competed in sumo, UFC, and MMA combat.
Taylor is survived by his wife, Halona, and two children.
