Just a few months after both were released in Netflix, Zack Snyder two rebel moon The films are already receiving director’s cuts. New versions of the films will begin streaming on the service later this summer.
With their new images, both films will also receive new subtitles. Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire is now Rebel Moon – Chapter One: Goblet of Blood. Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver is now Rebel Moon – Chapter Two: The Curse of Forgiveness. (Did everyone get that?)
In interviews, Snyder has promised that new versions of the film will contain more than an hour of new footage, including a different opening sequence.
Movies in any of their forms are essentially seven samurai through Star Warsfeaturing a village on a remote farming planet that recruits mercenary warriors from across the final frontier to help defend their home from the forces of the evil Motherworld.
Netflix already split the movie into two parts after Snyder delivered such a massive movie in the first place. In its original versions, A child of fire lasted 134 minutes and The Scargiver It was 122 minutes. That means the combined director’s cuts will last at least five hours. That’s a lot of rogue moons.

In Snyder’s director’s cut, a peaceful settlement on a moon in the farthest reaches of the universe is threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius, and Kora (Sofia Boutella), a mysterious stranger living among the villagers, becomes in their best hope for survival. Tasked with finding trained fighters to join her in taking on the Homeworld, Kora assembles a small group of warriors: outsiders, insurgents, peasants, and war orphans who share a common need for redemption and revenge. As the shadow of an entire Kingdom falls on the most unlikely of moons, a new army of heroes is formed.
