Are Taylor Swift’s legs really insured for $40 million?

In 2015, a rumor about Taylor Swift’s legs spread like wildfire on social media.

Taylor was preparing to embark on a world tour to promote it. 1989 album: a quaint affair compared to the current one Tour of the eras. And it was reported that his team decided to take extreme precautions.

The national researcher reported that the people who financed the tour also insured Taylor’s legs for $40 million.

The rumor: Taylor Swift’s legs are insured for 40 million dollars

It sounds crazy. But given the amount of money Taylor’s sponsors stood to make from the tour, it wasn’t entirely implausible.

Of course, the Investigator is not the most reliable source on these matters.

And it’s worth noting that there’s a long history of rumors that “this or that celebrity’s most famous body part is insured for an outrageous sum of money.”

They usually turn out to be nothing more than fan speculation. Or a publicity stunt designed by an ambitious public relations professional.

So is that the case this time? Well, it’s hard to say.

Interestingly, Taylor has never confirmed or denied that her legs are worth eight figures.

She didHowever, they joke about the situation on social media.

Taylor tweeted a photo of her leg with a long scratch running down it. The title said:

“Great job Meredith. She was just trying to love you and now you owe me 40 million dollars.”

Our conclusion: the rumor is probably false

The joke about his cat was a fun way to acknowledge the rumors without having to comment on them more directly.

However, this led many of Taylor’s fans to conclude that the rumors were true. They reasoned that the singer did not want to confirm them for fear of appearing spoiled and unapproachable.

But if we had to guess, we’d say Taylor’s legs are No currently insured, nor have they ever been. At least not for such an insane amount of money.

As a recent article in The Hollywood Reporter As he points out, rumors about secured body parts have been a sensational topic since the 1940s.

Some of the claims were semi-legitimate (Betty Grable’s legs were insured for $1 million, but the main goal was publicity). Most, however, were unfounded.

The fact is that there is no record of an insurance policy for any part of Taylor’s body. And maintaining such an expensive policy would probably be a huge headache.

There was once a similar rumor about Julia Roberts’ smile. The actress rejected the reports and said:

“If my smile was guaranteed, there would be someone in my house every night saying, ‘You need to floss longer.’”

We’re not sure if the rumor about the leg is inaccurate. But Taylor is a billionaireand we can’t imagine her enduring the constant meddling of Allstate’s Celebrity Limb Division.
