Artem ChigvintsevThe domestic violence arrest is moving forward… because the Napa County Sheriff just turned the case over to the district attorney and formal charges could be filed.
Napa County District Attorney Spokesperson Carlos Villatoro told TMZ … that his office is currently reviewing the case and that no decision has yet been made on what charges the professional dancer may face.
We're told the district attorney will make a decision after a thorough review of the case and then make a public announcement.
Villatoro says the prosecutor's office still needs to review witness statements, footage of the incident, any photos that may have been taken or anything else police may have found during their investigation.
Chigvintsev's trial is currently scheduled for November 4.
It's been a wild week for Artem, who was arrested last thursday for bodily injury to a spouse or partner after allegedly attacking his wife Nikki Bella –which caused a visible injury that led to his arrest.
