Universal Monster Movies

Prime Video is getting into the Halloween spirit a little early this year, as there are a number of Featured entries from the Universal Monster Movie Collection to be added on September 1Since the 1930s, Universal Studios has helped popularize the horror genre to mainstream audiences by bringing some of the most classic monsters from literature and lore to the big screen. The popularity of these films has led the studio to continually try to recreate that magic with many updated versions of these classic horror stories.

While some of the remakes are best forgotten and The Dark Universe's Plan was a notorious failure, this collection of films includes several must-see movies for horror fans or those who want to explore the legacy of the genre. Prime Video's offerings include some of the old classics, such as 1931 Dracula and 1932 The mummyas well as some of the newer films, such as Bram Stoker's Dracula From 1992 to 2010 The werewolf.

A very real scandal

Ruth Wilson and Michael Sheen in an interview on An Very Royal Scandal

As the title suggests, A very real scandal It is the latest installment of the series that also includes A very British scandal and A very English scandal. The third installment arrives on Prime Video on September 19And, like the first two series, it tells the true story of a headline-grabbing scandal. A very real scandal examines the now infamous 2019 BBC interview with Prince Andrew about his connection to Jeffrey Epstein.

The story was recently dramatized in a well-received Netflix film. SpoonThis time around, Michael Sheen will play Prince Andrew, while Ruth Wilson will play interviewer Emily Maitlis. While the earlier release of the film might have dampened enthusiasm for this show, it is still a fascinating story brought to life by talented actors, and it will be interesting to see how real-life events are portrayed differently in the extended television format.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022)

While Shrek 5 apparently will continue about the beloved DreamWorks franchise, The best movie in the animated series will arrive on Prime Video on September 12. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is the second spin-off film in which the title's feline adventurer takes center stage in his own adventure. This time, Puss finds himself with the last of his nine lives and is hunted by a relentless killer. To save himself, he sets out on a journey to find an artifact that could grant him immortality.

While the first Puss in Boots The film was a fun adventure, this sequel elevates the character and the franchise to another level. It is a vivid and exciting action film with an animation style reminiscent of the Spider-Verse Yet it's also a thoughtful look at an aging hero plagued by anxiety about his own mortality. Antonio Banderas remains iconic in the title role and features an excellent supporting cast that includes Salma Hayek, John Mulaney and Florence Pugh.

Elementary, seasons 1 to 7

An underrated Sherlock Holmes series is coming to Prime Video. Similar to the popular BBC series Sherlock series starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, Elementary Check out Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's legendary detective in a modern setting. However, this version of the material also marks another bold shift, turning Johnny Lee Miller's Sherlock Holmes into a British fish out of water who finds himself working alongside the police in New York City.

Elementary It has often been overshadowed by similar Cumberbatch series, but while it doesn't quite reach the heights of the BBC version, it's still a clever and funny take on the classic character. One of the show's highlights is the partnership between Sherlock and Watson, which in this version is gender-swapped and played by Lucy Liu. The seven seasons of Elementary It will be added to Prime Video on September 14.giving fans the opportunity to give the show the chance it deserves.

Everybody Wants Some! (2016)

With Glen Powell becomes one of Hollywood's biggest starsThere are likely many fans who are interested in checking out some of his previous work before… Anyone but you and Tornadoes. Everyone wants some!!! It was Powell's first collaboration with his Hitman Director Richard Linklater and serves as a spiritual sequel to Linklater's iconic teen film Dazed and Confused. While that film was about last-day-of-school parties in high school, Everyone wants some!!! It's about the fun college baseball players have before the first day of school.

The film centers on one of the team's rookies who arrives at school and meets his party-loving fellow students, including the charismatic Finnegan (Powell). The young cast also includes Wyatt Russell in a scene-stealing role as the team's mysterious new pitcher and Zoey Deutch as a young theater student who catches the eye of one of the baseball players. The fun, hilarious and charming movie coming to Prime Video on September 15It is also an ideal option for those new students beginning their university experience.
