Huawei launches TrueSense health monitoring system ahead of Watch GT 5 launch

Huawei held an event in China today, where it unveiled TrueSense, an innovative system that aims to set a new standard in health monitoring.

The technology combines sensor data from respiratory rate, SpO2 (blood oxygen levels), body temperature, blood pressure and heart rate, which are not new to a Huawei wearable. However, the company claims they are more accurate and comprehensive and are better used in the company's ecosystem.

The official presenters on stage didn't say which devices will be the first to launch with TruSense, but we're hearing that a Watch D2 is coming next month, so the blood pressure-focused phone could be the first to use the technology. A teaser for the Watch GT 5 surfaced today, so it's very likely that it'll be another one.

Rico Zhang, President of Huawei's smart wearables and health product line, said that this health breakthrough will encourage users to adopt healthier lifestyles. The new Health Glance feature will allow consumers to measure more than 10 health indicators in just 60 seconds.
