missing in action is the latest series to cover the seedy side of SoFla following recently released titles including Chris Brancato’s Cocaine Hotel for MGM+ and two Netflix series: the one starring Sofía Vergara Griselda and the first seasons of Narcos Narcos focused on Pablo Escobar, and both were executive produced by Eric Newman, Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard. Brancato co-created Narcos. The Showtime original series Right The series is also set in Miami.
Dubuque co-created the Netflix series Ozark Alongside Mark Williams, over the show’s four-season run, it was nominated for 45 Emmy Awards, including four wins, as well as honors at the Golden Globes and the WGA, SAG and DGA Awards.
MRC will produce the series, with Karen Campbell (Stranger, Right) as executive producer and showrunner. Stefano Sollima will direct and executive produce; he previously served as creator and director of ZeroZeroZero and as showrunner and director of the hit Italian series Gomorrah, widely recognized as one of the best international series of recent years.
