Director Eli Roth He is one of the current masters of horror.
The filmmaker and occasional actor (‘Inglourious Basterds‘) is best known for horror films such as ‘Cabin fever,‘ ‘Hosteland his most recent, ‘Thanksgiving.’
But Roth has also made films of other genres, including ‘Knock knock‘ ‘Death Wish‘ ‘The house with a clock in its walls‘the documentary’Finand his latest project, the adaptation to the big screen of the video game ‘Borderlandswhich opens in theaters on August 9.

Lilith (Cate Blanchett), an infamous bounty hunter with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home on Pandora, the most chaotic planet in the galaxy. Her mission is to find Atlas’s missing daughter (Edgar Ramirez), the most powerful bitch in the universe, Lilith, forms an unlikely alliance with a ragtag team of misfits: Roland (Kevin Hart), an experienced mercenary on a mission; Tiny Tina (Ariana Greenblatt), a wild pre-teen demolitionist; Krieg (Florian Munteanu), Tina’s muscular protector; Tannis (Jamie Lee Curtis), the eccentric scientist who has seen it all; and Claptrap (Black Jack), a clever robot. Together, these unlikely heroes must battle an alien species and dangerous bandits to uncover one of Pandora’s most explosive secrets. The fate of the universe may rest in their hands, but they’re fighting for something more: each other.
