Will Chiwetel Ejiofor ever return to the MCU? Doctor Strange The star talks about his possible return to the franchise along with his new role in Venom: The Last Dance.
Despite having been attached to Venom: The Last Dance Since before the project had an official title, little is known about Chiwetel Ejiofor’s role in the film. Some fans believe he’s playing the villain Orwell Taylor, while others believe he’s reprising his role. Doctor Strange role as Baron Mordo! When asked if this MCU crossover could be confusing, Ejiofor admitted that it’s best to just enjoy the project.
“I think the best thing to do there is just watch the movie,” Ejiofor explained at the Happy Sad Confused podcast. “Important conversations happen when everyone can watch the films and then participate. Pre-participation conversations aren’t as important right now.”
“It was fantastic working with Kelly [Marcel] in that world and relate to a really special character that Tom [Hardy] “When you see Venom come on set, you’re like, ‘Wow.’ It’s a very special moment. Tom can stand next to you and say, ‘Venom’s here!’ He’s created something pretty remarkable.”
It’s good to know that Chiwetel Ejiofor had a good time making Venom: The Last DanceWhile the series is a fan favorite, it is far from a critics favorite. It is similar in many ways to Doctor Strangeanother superhero franchise that Ejiofor stars in, which has been the black sheep of the MCU despite how beloved the character is. However, is there a place for him in a potential sequel?
Will Baron Mordo return for Doctor Strange?
There have been rumors circulating that Doctor Strange It’s possible that a sequel will be in the near future in the MCU. However, with Chiwetel Ejiofor now attached to Sony with Venom: The Last Dance and Marvel probably wants to distance itself from Multiverse of MadnessIt’s unclear if Baron Mordo will return. When asked about that possibility, Ejiofor admitted that he’s excited about it.
“I think there’s a beautiful open door there and just finding the time to tell those stories where you can really tell the most exciting part of that story and focus on it,” Ejiofor explained. “I think it has the potential to be really remarkable.”
While Chiwetel Ejiofor’s words are hopeful, it doesn’t look like Marvel was showing up on the set of Venom: The Last Dance to see if he would be willing to act as Baron Mordo one last time. It will be interesting to see where the character goes if he returns in the MCU, especially since Doctor Strange The franchise is venturing into increasingly thin terrain.
