Logan’s Run – Movie Reviews. TV Coverage. Trailers. Film Festivals.

In the 23rd century, the inhabitants of a domed city freely enjoy all the pleasures of life, but no one can live beyond 30 years. Citizens can try to get a chance to be “renewed” at a civic ceremony on their 30th birthday. The only other option is to escape.

Film reviews:

  • Richard: It’s a “vision of the future” type of movie, with a bit of an adventure into the unknown. At least for the two “runners” who have escaped their bubble world. It’s full of twists and turns in a post-peak oil world, where society has finally found a solution for the planet’s resources. The “chosen” few, however, have a bit of a problem: their lives have a unique way of ending, until these two discover a new way and a lie that was being told to all citizens. (Warning to younger viewers: there are scenes where (at the time) it was considered risqué to show people jumping into a freshwater pond and bathing naked.)
