Google has made reducing its environmental footprint a priority. Users can choose the most fuel-efficient route. Simply open Maps, select their destination, tap the three horizontal dots at the top right, and select “Route options.” Then choose “Least fuel-efficient routes” and the engine type, such as gasoline, diesel, electric, or hybrid. The most fuel-efficient route will appear on the map, with gasoline being the default option.
