Steven Spielberg He is one of the most prolific and successful film directors in history. But his achievements as a director (imagine making films this good and this varied) In search of the lost ark and Schindler’s Listand that neither is arguably his best work — can sometimes overshadow the sheer amount of stuff Spielberg has done beyond what’s listed in his IMDb directorial filmography.
For example, he has collaborated on documentaries on topics ranging from Chuck Jones to Ray Harryhausen and the Holocaust. He has produced television series such as The adventures of the little cartoons, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brainand SeaQuest DSV Night Vision Device. He has made cameos in a large number of films. (Did you see him in Vanilla sky?) The guy has helped create theme park attractions. He is hosted theme park attractionsHe did it! video gamesWhether he gets credit for it or not, he’s something of a renaissance man.
And he has produced tons of movies that… No He also directed some of those films. Some of them are known as Steven Spielberg productions; Spielberg produced (and, according to an oft-debunked urban legend, may have directed) some of them. Elf. He was very involved in both Gremlins films (and the current animated series). He also produced (with Martin Scorsese!) the Bradley Cooper film. Teacher.
But many of Spielberg’s productions are known as works of other filmmakers first and Spielberg’s projects a distant second, or maybe not even. Like the 15 films listed below. All were produced (or executive produced) by Spielberg. Some became blockbuster franchises; a couple were part of Spielberg’s rare financial blunders. But hey, nobody’s perfect.
