There were rumors that Princess Beatrice would help Kate Middleton in her time of need, and it seems the rumors were true.

She smiled happily as she watched the match alongside other attendees, including actor Stephen Fry. Beatrice is the first member of the royal family to attend the event this year, although hopefully she won’t be the last.
This move is a way for Beatrice to cement her place as royal patron this year in place of Kate, or it may simply be the opening act. There is still hope. Kate could appear for this weekend’s final.
