No celebrity hates President Donald Trump more than Rob Reiner.
The director of “The Princess Bride,” “This is Spinal Tap” and “Misery” rages early and often against the real estate mogul. He even made a box office failure whose goal is to paralyze Trump’s latest presidential campaign.
He is the perfect example of Trump Derangement Syndromewarning that a Trump sequel will, in all, be the “end of democracy.”
Still, he’s seen enough of Trump’s opponent to say it’s time for a change.
Reiner, 77, shared a strongly worded post on Sunday demanding that President Joe Biden let someone else compete with Trump for the White House.
It’s time to stop wasting time. If the convicted felon wins, we will lose our democracy. Joe Biden has effectively served America with honor, decency, and dignity. It’s time for Joe Biden to resign.

Reiner watched President Biden’s performance at the June 27 debate along with most Americans. he shouted at the screenunable to ignore the Commander in Chief’s obvious mental deterioration.
Still, the director initially stood firmly behind Biden.
Last night’s debate was a disaster for President Biden, but the choice remains crystal clear: we can choose between a good, decent man who cares about his fellow citizens and knows how to govern, or a convicted felon who will destroy our democracy. It’s not a difficult choice.

He has since apparently changed his mind. That might have come after Biden’s disturbing June 5 interview with far-left ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos. The exchange did not reverse fears about the leader’s cognitive decline.
For many, the situation has worsened.

The fallout from the debate has left Democrats divided over what is the best past to follow. Some say Biden remains the best bet to defeat Trump a second time. Others insist it is time for a Plan B — either Vice President Kamala Harris or a new name to be determined during the Democratic National Convention gala in August in Milwaukee.
Reiner’s announcement comes after a wave of Hollywood donors, including Abigail Disney, demanded that Biden resignBut their pleas carry more weight than anything Reiner says. They control a sizable chunk of the purse strings, and Democrats’ coffers will be lighter without their support.
